During the transition in to 2020, I worked closely with the production team at Snap Design & Digital. I was granted a role to head-up the front-end development of a new website for local recruitment agency, Oyster Recruitment.
This was a great opportunity for a number of individuals – including myself – to collaborate on a project with unique requirements.
The website features some engaging local motion footage, as well as a convenient mechanism that allows Oyster to update jobs on to their website, with ease.
Designed ‘mobile first’, this meant we shifted a lot of focus to mobile usability. So many individuals start their job search from their smartphones, it was integral that we developed the site this way.
If you’re a developer like myself, you’ll tend to always sway towards building your websites from a desktop stand-point. In some ways, building mobile first can be a bit like reading backwards. Luckily, it’s not quite that tricky and we were able to deliver a project to be proud of.
I’d like to extend my thanks to Snap for having me work with them on this project. As well as Chris and Mark from Oyster who were great to bounce ideas off and throughout the construction of this project.
